Although experienced by many, anxiety doesn’t look the same for everyone. It can leave your mind racing, your body tense, or keep you constantly on edge. You may feel stuck in cycles of worry, or overwhelmed by things that once felt manageable. This can also trigger panic, avoidance, or persistent self-doubt.
No matter how it shows up, anxiety is exhausting and isolating- but it doesn't mean you’re failing, it means you’re human. With the right support, you can take back control and start feeling more like yourself again.
Counselling for Anxiety
At Third Path Therapy, you don’t have to face anxiety alone or push yourself to “cope better.” Our work isn’t about labels or being told what to do. It’s about building a safe, trusting space where you can explore what’s really going on beneath your anxiety- without judgment or pressure. You choose what feels important to talk about, and together we gently explore your experience, one step at a time. Rather than silencing parts of yourself, you learn to listen with compassion, understand yourself more deeply, and gradually reclaim a sense of calm, confidence, and control in your life.
What I Offer
I support adults experiencing many forms of anxiety, including: generalised anxiety, social anxiety, panic attacks, health-related anxiety, and anxiety linked to low self-esteem or past trauma. I also work with individuals facing major life pressures- such as relationship difficulties, bereavement, work stress, caregiving, or periods of sudden change- where anxiety can build over time. Often, anxiety exists alongside low mood, self-doubt, or feelings of not being “enough.” For others, it’s connected to experiences where safety, trust, or identity have been shaken. Whatever your story, there’s space for all of it here.
Who I Support
At Third Path Therapy, you don’t have to pretend, or put on a front. You’re free to take your time, speak openly, pause, reflect, and bring whatever feels important to you. You won’t be pushed, rushed, or told how to feel. Instead, you’ll experience genuine human connection, respect, and acceptance. Over time, clients often find that person-centred counselling helps them: • understand and make sense of their thoughts and feelings • trust themselves and make decisions with confidence • feel more grounded and present in daily life • relate to themselves with kindness and compassion • focus on what truly matters to them You won’t be following someone else’s plan- you’ll be discovering your own path, with support every step of the way.
